  • What does "Hiraya" mean?
(Pronounced: huh-rye-yuh) "Hiraya" comes from the ancient Filipino phrase "Hiraya Manawari," and it translates to the "fruit of one’s hopes, dreams, and aspirations." Essentially, it’s about manifesting your dreams. We’re here to help make your dream of traveling the world come true—minus the hassle of the logistics.
  • Why should I book through a travel agent instead of doing it myself online?
Because online booking sites won’t remind you to pack your charger or leave you to argue with a robot about your delayed flight. We handle the chaos, so you can focus on more important things—like finding the best spot for that sunset photo! 🌅✈ ️
  • What’s the booking process like?
    1. You Inquire, We Inspire – Fill out a form, and we’ll follow up with any questions. 2. We Work Our Magic – We research and craft the best options just for you. 3. You Tweak, We Perfect – Review your proposal and request any changes. 4. Booked & Busy – Once you make your selections and the proposal is approved, we take care of bookings, invoices, and pre-departure details. 5. Jet Set & Relax – Your deposit is refunded on departure day and a receipt is sent to you (depending on the package that you opted for). Otherwise, you just enjoy your vacation with the peace of mind that we're just a call or text away if you need anything!
  • Is your business insured?
Absolutely! We take your travel plans seriously, which is why the agency is fully insured with Errors and Omissions (E&O) coverage. This means that if there’s ever an unintentional mistake or oversight on our end, you’re protected. It’s all part of our commitment to giving you peace of mind and making your travel experience as smooth and worry-free as possible. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions—we're here for you!
  • How do I know my information is safe with you?
Your trust and privacy are extremely important to us. We only use only secure, PCI-compliant systems to handle your information. These systems meet the highest standards for protecting your data. You can also review our comprehensive Privacy Policy by clicking HERE for full details on how your information is used and safeguarded. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out directly.
  • Do you charge fees for your services?
For single-destination trips, there's no fee or deposit. Multi-city trips or groups of 8+ require a $50 refundable security deposit to ensure commitment due to the complexity of planning. The deposit is fully refunded on your departure date. For flights-only bookings, a non-refundable $25 fee per booking applies before we begin research, covering a consultation to discuss flight preferences. For activities-only bookings, a non-refundable $25 fee per booking applies before we begin research, covering a consultation to align activities with your existing itinerary. Groups of 8 or more people call for the "Grand Voyagers" package. We’ll assess the complexity of your request at the time of inquiry and disclose the additional fee breakdown (if any) to you prior to sending the proposal. Cancellation requests at 60 calendar days or less from the scheduled departure date will result in the security deposit being retained as a last-minute cancellation fee separate from any supplier penalties, respectively. A security deposit paid to begin planning your "Jetsetter: Multi-stop" or "Grand Voyagers" trip becomes non-refundable after 60 calendar days of inactivity with no bookings made. If there’s no response to our follow-up emails, texts, or calls, and 60 calendar days have passed from the date the initial deposit was made, a new deposit will be required to resume planning for the same trip or a new destination.
  • Why is a security deposit needed for complex itineraries & groups?
A security deposit is required to ensure commitment to the planning process. Crafting custom itineraries takes time, expertise, and effort to tailor a trip to your specific preferences. Unfortunately, in the past, some individuals have used my services to plan detailed trips and, after receiving the list of suppliers and itineraries, booked elsewhere independently using that information. The refundable deposit protects the value of my time and ensures I can dedicate the necessary resources to designing your perfect travel experience.
  • If the security deposit is refundable, how do you as the travel consultant get paid?
Here’s how it works: the airlines, hotels, and cruise lines pay us to bring them great clients like you. You don’t pay the agency—your money goes straight to your trip. In return, my relationship with these suppliers often mean upgrades and more meticulous treatment for you. They get your business, you get the perks, and we get to do what we love. It’s a total win-win.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
Since we pay our suppliers directly and not through the agency, we only accept debit and credit cards at this time. Unfortunately, cash, checks, and bank transfers are not accepted. This helps streamline payments and ensure a smooth transaction process for both you and our suppliers.
  • Do you offer travel insurance, and should I get it?
Yes, we offer travel insurance, and trust us, it’s definitely worth having! Think of it as your trip’s safety net—if your flight gets canceled or something goes wrong, it’s there to help. A lot of people skip it because they think their health insurance will cover them, but keep in mind that many health insurance plans may not cover claims outside the U.S. or assist with pre-existing conditions. So, it’s important to read the fine print. We always recommend adding travel insurance, especially for international trips or if you have special health considerations, so you can enjoy your trip without worrying about the “what-ifs.” We’re happy to get you a quote or refer you to an insurance pro if you have any more questions!
  • Do you have the ability to split my trip into monthly payments?
Yes, our agency is certified to offer Flex Pay (formerly Uplift) applications. If you qualify, this is a convenient option that lets you divide the cost of your trip into affordable bite-sized payments with simple interest (not compounded) with no pre-payment penalties.
  • What do I need to know before booking a trip (like passports or visas)?
For bookings outside of the United States, be sure to check your passport’s expiration date—because nothing says “oops” like getting to the airport and finding out it’s expired! Also, some countries like to play hard-to-get with visas, so we’ll make sure to send you all the resources to get set with the right paperwork. We’ll handle the details so you can focus on the important stuff—like what snacks to pack!
  • Do you work with groups?
Absolutely! Whether it’s a family getaway, a friends’ trip, or a work retreat, we’ve got you covered. We’ll manage the logistics so you can focus on the fun—like who’s in charge of the playlist or who’s responsible for keeping the group on schedule (spoiler: it’s not you).
